The Lexus LF represents a series of vehicles made by the well-known brand Lexus which includes sedans, coupes, crossovers, SUVs, convertibles etc. The LF is an abbreviation of the Lexus Future and includes new engines, unconventional design both inside and out, modern technology etc. Some of the models include LF-A, LF-FC, LF-LC, LF-AR, LF-CC, LF-UX, and so on. The latest model LF which the carmaker has presented is the new Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept. This model will represent the next generation flagship and it belongs to a crossover SUV class. And if it goes into production which is not yet officially confirmed, it should go on sale as the 2019 Lexus LF.
The Lexus LF-1 Concept looks like nothing else on the road currently. And based on its styling, we can conclude in what way the manufacturer is planning to design its future models in the following years. The LF looks really amazing and unconventional. The futuristic design of the exterior is also applied inside the cabin. And it is all about tech features: triangular screens, controls for the phone on the steering wheel, rear seat infotainment displays etc. As the matter of fact, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless very much look like the LF-FC Concept which has been presented in 2015. Furthermore, what is still kept as a secret is an engine which should power the LF-1. And it might arrive with a plug-in hybrid, an all-electric drivetrain or even as the hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle.
What engine could power the future 2019 Lexus LF?
The Lexus LF Concept has been presented at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. But the carmaker hasn’t revealed which engine precisely will be found under its hood. However, it seems that the LF could get a plug-in hybrid, an electric motor or a hydrogen fuel-cell and at the moment the precise information is not available.
Design of exterior and interior of the 2019 Lexus LF
Dimensionally, the new Lexus LF-1 Concept is 78.2 inches wide, 197.4 inches long and 63.2 inches tall. So, it is around 5 inches longer than the Lexus RX. Its design is bold, futuristic, and unconventional. The whole body is all about angular and sharp lines, curves but it looks really handsome. The front end features a massive spindle grille and a pair of slim and angular headlamps. The rear end is also perfectly sculpted; it seems that it has holes for the false exhaust outlets and a distinctive rear spoiler.
The interior of the Lexus LF also features a futuristic and very modern design. It seats four and the comfort is on the highest level. The dashboard is fitted with a large touchscreen and a steering wheel with controls for phone access, lane assist and so on. The rear seat passengers also have an infotainment display and the controls for lights, heated seating etc.
Release date and price of the 2019 Lexus LF
It is still unclear when the 2019 Lexus LF should appear on the market. The pricing is also not available at the moment.
