The 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid will be powered by a gasoline/electric hybrid engine. This unit will combine a 2.5-liter inline-4 Atkinson-cycle engine with 147 hp, electric motors, and batteries. All together, they will be able to deliver 215 horsepower which is 15 horses more compared to the previous model. The engine is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission. It comes with front-wheel drive system only. As for the fuel economy, this engine is rated at 43 mpg in the city, 44 mpg on the highway, and 43 mpg combined.
Design of exterior and interior
The new 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid will feature the same sharp design of the current model. But this time, it will look even more aggressive. The front end is dominated by a larger and wide grille which in the XSE trim level gets mesh pattern and it is lower. There are also sharp and slim LED headlamps. The rear end of the vehicle gets modern LED taillights and attractive spoiler.
The cabin of the 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is now larger because of the longer wheelbase. So, the rear seat passengers now have more than 40 inches of space. The front seats are highly comfortable and supportive even at long drives. All the materials inside the cabin are very quality and there are soft surfaces all over. In the center of the dashboard, there is a large 9.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment system. All the models offer the cargo room of 16 cubic feet, even the hybrid if you move the batteries from the truck to under the rear seats.

The 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid will be available in the XLE, XSE, and Limited trim levels. The XLE model will include17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, five USB ports, 8-way adjustable and heated front seats, Entune 3.0 Audio system with 8 speakers and Apple CarPlay connectivity, LED headlamps and taillights, synthetic leather upholstery, Bluetooth, active safety systems, and Smart Key system. The XSE will add 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, aluminum interior trim, and wireless phone charging. The Limited trim levels will come with heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, wood trim, leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, 18-inch wheels, and a JBL premium audio system.
Furthermore, all the models will be provided with airbags, blind-spot monitors, a rearview camera, active lane control, automatic emergency braking, and emergency assistance.

The all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is available on the market. The price of the hybrid starts at around $37,400 while the Hybrid Limited begins at $43,700.
