The eight generation of the Toyota’s popular mid-size sedan has just entered the market as the 2018 Toyota Camry. The 2018 model year is all-new and looks more stylish and provides improved driving dynamics. It has arrived with many trim levels and there are three engines in the offer. As well, it has received more shaper design, sleek roofline, and now looks better than ever. So, how the current Camry has been completely upgraded, the 2019 Toyota Camry will most likely arrive with no radical changes.
As a carryover, the upcoming 2019 model year will feature the same exterior styling and now looks sleeker and sportier. It is available in several trim levels which include L, LE, XLE, sporty SE, and the range-topping XSE models. The SE and XSE versions feature a different design of the front fascia and grille, but also a restyled rear bumper. The cabin is also revised and improved with a soft touch and more quality materials and a larger touchscreen. The Camry comes with three engine options among which the hybrid version is the most fuel efficient. Furthermore, the list of the standard features should remain the same also for the 201 model year.
Powertrain and performance
The 2019 Toyota Camry will be powered by three engine options. The first engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 which is able to develop 203 hp and 184 pound-feet of torque. In the base trim, this unit gets 29/41 mpg while in the higher trim levels it is rated at 28/39 mpg. The nest is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with the output of 301 horses and 267 lb-ft of torque. In the XLE version, it gets 22/33 mpg in the city/highway. The XSE is estimated to be 22/32 mpg. These both engines will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The last one is a hybrid which pairs a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline unit and an electric motor. This powertrain is able to develop 208 horsepower. The LE model is rated at 51/53 mpg and the SE and XLE get 44/47 mpg.

The design of the 2019 Toyota Camry won’t differ from the current model which has been fully refreshed. The Camry looks sleek and handsome and features a large grille on the front fascia. The sporty XSE models will get four chrome exhaust pipes on the rear and a sportier bumper.
The inside of the 2019 Toyota Camry will also remain unchanged and it is characterized by spaciousness and comfort. It is also very well equipped and has many standard features. The dashboard features a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment system. The base model comes standard with a rearview camera, AM/FM audio system, Bluetooth, a 6-way manually adjustable front seats, USB, and cloth upholstery. The higher trims will add dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, 8-way power adjustable front driver and passenger seats, and so on.
Release date and price
There is still no official information, but the 2019 Toyota Camry might enter the market this summer. The price will most likely remain unchanged and it starts at around $24,000.
